The Poker Chronicles: Legalization

Even when poker is legalized, I don't think the poker sites will start using credit cards because their chargeback problem will still be there.

Actually, a lot of progress has been made on that front. Technology has greatly reduced it in the mean time since most of them were stolen credit cards.

Matt, I look forward to your thoughts on this. I will add that Pokerstars (so long as you have a history with them) will do eChecks and will deposit money in your account right away.

That's actually worse for me than if I had to wait for it to clear. As it is, my deposit limit is now $100/day, $300/week, $600/month. I can't even play $5/$10 with that, let alone the $30/$60 games I'd want to. I'm sure if I used it enough they'd change that, but I have no incentive to even use it once.

I'd much prefer it if they just let me deposit however much I want and wait 3 days for it to clear. They should at least offer that option.

A much simpler way if you are uk-based is just go to Betfair and open an account. No messing about with e-checks and such nonsense. deposit cash and start playing in five minutes!
